Empowering Our Community: Ms. Zixian Qi Speaks on Landlord-Tenant Issues

On April 20, 2025, our esteemed partner, Ms. Zixian Qi, was honored to be invited by City Councilwoman Susan Zhuang to speak at an important community event addressing landlord and tenant issues. The event took place in Brooklyn and was specially organized for the Brooklyn Chinese Community, highlighting the growing need for accessible legal education and advocacy.
Hosted by Councilwoman Zhuang's office and generously sponsored by the Zhanjiang Association of America, the event brought together community leaders, residents, and legal professionals to discuss pressing housing concerns and tenants’ rights within the courtroom context.
Ms. Qi's presentation focused on practical legal knowledge, recent development in housing courts in five boroughs, new "good cause" eviction law published in 2024 and how community members can protect themselves and navigate housing disputes more effectively. Her insights and legal expertise were met with great enthusiasm and appreciation from attendees.

Zixian Qi ("Chi") is a founding partner of Alpha Law, LLC. Ms. Qi is practicing in real estate for many years. She is sophisticated in residential/commercial real property closings, commercial lease negotiations, acquisitions and mortgages.
