In March 2023, Alpha Law LLC represented the buyer in completing a full acquisition of a real estate project located in Upstate New York. The project was a $14 million equity acquisition, with the buyer being investors from China. During the transaction, Ms. Duda-Chen Fang, a senior corporate counsel at our firm, designed the transaction structure, drafted transaction documents, and participated in negotiations with the seller.
Ms. Duda-Chen Fang is licensed to practice law in New York, Michigan, and China. Before joining Alpha Law LLC, Ms. Chen had 15 years of corporate legal practice experience, working in major law firms in mainland China and Hong Kong and later as a corporate counsel at Ford Motor Company. Ms. Duda-Chen's main areas of practice include: medium and large-scale corporate mergers and acquisitions, cross-border investments, pre-IPO structuring planning, equity design for technology start-ups, etc. She has rich experience in structuring in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and the Cayman Islands, conducting due diligence, drafting various acquisition documents, and conducting financing and M&A negotiations. Ms. Duda-Chen also provides employment law compliance services for newly landed US companies.
Ms. Duda-Chen's clients are mainly distributed in industries such as real estate, supply chain, automobile manufacturing, auto parts, telecommunications services, telecommunications equipment, including OEMs and first- and second-tier suppliers.
